“Learn to do good, seek justice, rebuke the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17

Students for the Relief of the Oppressed strives to connect Christian students in the Moscow community to the larger body of the church in a way that makes them aware of the oppression locally and abroad. The students will join in weekly prayer groups, various fundraising events, and singing at nursing homes in order to actively bring Christ’s love by serving in community.

How to Get Involved: Prayer & Fundraisers

Prayer Meeting

Prayer plays a crucial role in supporting the oppressed. We have two weekly prayer meetings at NSA’s Main Campus: 12pm every Thursday and Friday. We’d love for these meetings to grow, so please consider coming to pray with us! Check our Facebook page for regular prayer updates.

Charity Trot

If you’ve been looking for a good reason to get in shape, here it is!

Sponsored by local businesses and supported by the runners, our 5K trot is such a fabulous event. Strollers are welcome 🙂 Prizes for the winners!

Dine to Donate

We host a Dine-to-Donate every term. When community members dine at a designated restaurant/coffeeshop, a percentage of their purchase is donated to our chosen recipient. Eating out whilst simultaneously supporting the oppressed is a pretty sweet deal!

Leaf Rake

Every Fall, community members donate money to SRO and have their yards raked by NSA students in return. It’s such a fun bonding experience and a blessing to our community!
